Beyond a Land Acknowledgement: Telling Your Colonial Story
At some point in our family legacies, our ancestors engaged in colonization and capitalism. We embody the legacies of these systems. In this workshop series, you will deepen your relationship with your colonial story, write it, learn to tell it, and allow it to be a guide towards collective liberation and right relationships with indigenous peoples.
We gather in community for this workshop, holding each other, and recognizing how our colonial stories are interwoven. By each of us untangling our past, we find how we can weave our threads together into the quilt of collective liberation.
This workshop consists of 4 1-hour sessions held online, with a fee of $375 USD.
Untangle Your Thread to Sew in the Quilt of Liberation.

Welcome, I’m Terri-Gaye, a sustainable scrap quilter and liberatory coach. I sew together patchwork from what we’ve left behind to weave together our stories toward liberation.
When we untangle our threads, we can connect with our lineages and re-thread the needle, ready to sew our squares into our collective quilt of liberation. With cloth in our hands and love in our hearts, I will support you in embodied presence and practice.
I offer Sustainable Liberatory Quilting Workshops that tie together sustainable scrap quilting and collective storytelling towards liberation. Please contact me here if your quilting group is interested in a workshop.
I also offer one-on-one and small group coaching. We can meet in person in Seattle with cloth in our hands or virtually. Click here to schedule a complimentary introductory coaching call.
Come sew your story with me as we embody and create collective liberation.

Unfolding: Liberatory Quilting Retreat
I’m planning to host a liberatory sustainable quilting retreat in the Fall of 2026. Whether you a new quilter ready to begin sewing, or a quilting elder ready to experiment new practice, you are welcome to join. We’ll be focused in embodied practice, stories of liberation, and, of course, quilting.
